Through the rest of the year, our regularly scheduled classes will be held remotely. You'll get the same great information with plenty of chance for live questions and answers from our expert instructors without leaving home.
Newborn Care
Your newborn will soon be here…when was the last time you or your partner held a baby? Burped a full-bellied newborn? Tried to comfort a screaming baby? Things get REAL really fast when all your help leaves and you’re expected to keep your little one alive BY YOURSELF!
What will you learn?
This 3 hour session is taught by experienced parents and nurses, designed to teach you how to meet all of your baby's needs.
Hold your baby with confidence.
Provide basic hyigene.
Feed him breastmilk and/or formula.
Burp him to lessen the spit-ups and scary situations.
Swaddle and soothe him.
Distinguish what is normal and not normal.
The Dad Class
They say there’s no class to prepare you for becoming a father. We’d like to let you know that “they” don’t know what they’re talking about. It’s right here! The only problem is that if you attend, you might get so good at taking care of your newborn that there will be nothing left for mom to do!
(Totally kidding… there’s always more than enough poopy diapers to go around.)The hospital staff and doctors expect that you know what you are doing with this super fragile tiny human being.

The evidence shows that dads can play a huge role in preparing for baby, supporting mom through pregnancy and labor, and caring for their offspring. It’s good to know what to do in an emergency, but how much better would it be to avoid that worst case scenario altogether? Dad Prep Coach Brent Simmons is a trauma nurse and American Heart Association certified CPR instructor. He brings together the science behind the best practices used in health care and the personal experiences he has in the real world of parenting.

Bumps and scrapes are a part of growing up, and it’s definitely possible to go over the top with injury paranoia. We will help you focus your attention on the serious hazards over which you have some control.
Additionally, this 2-hour session, offered in a group class or privately in the comfort of your home, gives participants hands-on practice for choking rescue and CPR, with hope that you will NEVER have to use them.
Car Seat Installation
In spite of the amount of research and technology that goes into car seats, only 41% of those in use are installed and harnessed correctly. This is why we encourage all parents to dedicate some time and energy to learning the best practices for keeping their little ones safe on the road.
Are You Ready For The Road...?
Our Car Seat Installation and Education is a one-on-one session tailored specifically to your vehicles, your car seats, and your life. Together we will evaluate the different options for how and where to install your car seats, and we will discuss, demonstrate, and practice proper harnessing. Our goal is not just to install a car seat for you, but to teach you how to keep your child safe. Every car seat has adjustments that must be made to keep baby positioned correctly as he/she grows, and we intend for you to feel confident making these changes. Typically takes 90 minutes.

The best time to learn the basics of breastfeeding is before you are responsible for feeding a hungry baby.
Are You Ready...?
Our Board Certified Lactation Consultants will tailor the information to meet your individual needs. We will take into account your medical history and discuss any pertinent risk factors before your baby is born. This will allow you to be proactive in promoting a healthy milk supply.
With our assistance, you will also practice latching and positioning with a baby and breast model to help you understand the key points for success.
Our lactation consultants are confident in helping you succeed in your breastfeeding goals. Whether you are a first time parent, have other children or expecting multiples, we are here to support you throughout your breastfeeding journey.
Education and consultations can be done either in the the comfort of your home or at an office location in the northwest valley.
